I am assisting in the preparation of a book about the 3rd Minnesota Regiment that served during the Civil War. I am trying to develop information about Charles W. Nudd, born in New Hampshire, who was residing in Minneapolis in 1861 when he entered the 3rd Minn.In 1861 he was listed as age 25 years and it is therefore assusmed he was born in 1835 or 1836. He rose from Pvt. to Capt. during his enlistment. We have a very interesting story about him but know nothing else about the man. He died of unknown causes in St. Paul Minn. soon after he was discharged in August 1864. I am interested in any information about Charles W. Nudd - especially trying to identify his parents, siblings and descendants of his parents. We believe Charles was never married but unsure of this.
