This is a ridiculous charge! Can you imagine how much time and effort it would take to have someone go through all the surname forums, picking out little bits of information that have been posted, and then putting enough of it together to get a complete family tree to publish on a CD? Why would they have to do that? Hundreds of people submit their trees voluntarily.

Most posters to these boards are searching for information and the facts that they put into their initial postings often turn out to be wrong. When someone does have information on a family that is named in a query, the details about that family are more likely to be transmitted by private e-mail from that time on.

It is unethical to post rumors like this unless you have proof.
