Looking for Nathaniel Morgan, Son of Luther Morgan
Posted by: Myrle Morgan (ID *****3653) Date: December 18, 2005 at 15:47:25

I am looking for information on the death and burial
location of my 4th great grandfather, Nathaniel Morgan,
who I have reason to believe lived or owned land in Enfield,
NH in the late 1700's. He was the father of Dr. John
Morgan who resided in Enfield prior to 1809 up to the time
of his death on 27 June 1857. Dr. John Morgan is buried in
Oak Grove Cemetery, lot #45.

Nathaniel was born in Hampton, NH on 16 May 1731, the son
of Luther Morgan and Abigail Sanborn. He was married to
Abigail Gove of Hampton, NH. He lived with his father in
Pembroke, NH for a period of time before apparently
relocating to Hopkinton, NH, where Dr. John Morgan was
born.

The History of Pembroke, NH mentions Nathaniel as residing
in Canaan, NH in 1808, but I have found no proof of this
so far.

Any help in finding information regarding where he was
living at the time of his death will be greatly appreciated.
