Lorna, I am a descendent of Duncan Cameron and his daughter Mary (Molly) who was born in 1768, and married a local NH boy named John Dodge in the 1790s, then removed from Fitzwilliam NH to Wildersburgh (soon to be renamed Barre) VT in 1795. There is information about Duncan in the following books. I have been trying to find out exactly what unit he was in, and when, during 1777 and how he came to purchase land from Phineas Farrar of Fitzwilliam in 1778 if he was supposedly a prisoner of war (Saratoga, 1777). If you or anyone else finds out, please let me know on this forum, thanks.
