I am seeking the correct FATHER (DOCKHAM or alt sp) of
DANIEL M DOCKHAM, b Frankfort, Waldo, ME Dec 1828.
Daniel names his first born son, Ephraim, b Frankfort ME abt 1855. Daniel's eldest brother Osman T Dockham was born in NH, as was their mother Abigail UNK and likely their father.

I am pretty sure that they are somehow related to
JAMES DOCKHAM (b ca 1759 - d Tuftonboro 8/22/1821) age 62 yrs {gravestone}, m Tamworth, NH 1/29/1789 Hannah Drake (b ca 1771, d 6 Nov 1859, Tuftonborough, NH), age: 94...they are buried side by side in a small family cemetery a short distance east of Melvin Village in Tuftonboro. "
Hannah's parents: Ephraim DRAKE(<1748-1844) & Anna NORRIS, 1749-)

James and Hannah Dockham had at least a daughter *Nancy and 2 sons Norris and Ephraim, the latter b 4/2/1789 Sandwich, Carroll, NH - died 1827. This Ephraim [Sr] married his cousin Dolly Brown; their mothers were sisters Hannah and Mary Drake. [d/o Ephraim DRAKE & Anna NORRIS]
*"The widow, Hannah Dockham was granted a pension 6/1/1840 age 69 yrs...She was living at this time with her daughter Nancy, who married Moses Harriman."
FIND ANY OTHER OTHER CHILDREN. HOW CONNECTED TO MY DANIEL M DOCKHAM AND HIS MOTHER ABIGAIL DOCKHAM. - CAS

VERIFY ALL THE DATES OF BIRTH FOR THE CHILDREN, [EXCEPT DANIEL & EPHRAIM, JR.] THEY ARE ONLY ESTIMATED AND CENSUS RECORDS FREQUENTLY HAVE CALCULATION ERRORS.

Ephraim [Sr]& Dolly Dockham had 2 daughters & 6 sons which include eldest Moors/Morse/Morris Brown Dockham b 1811/12 Tuftonboro, Carroll co, NH and the youngest Ephraim Jr, b 5/13/1822 Frankfort, Waldo, ME.

"In 1815 Ephraim [Sr] bought a 1/2 interest in a saw mill with the privilege of building a dam on the Milvil River. He was killed moving logs. The lever may have slipped or broke and struck him in such a way that it broke his neck." "The estate of his homestead of 150 acres and house was $461.00. " ,

Moors Brown Dockham married Matilda 'Ann' Saltmarsh in Gilford, Belknap, NH in 1837.

Ephraim Jr, married Adeline M Savage of & in Francestown, Hillsborough, NH in 1848. Definately s/o Ephraim [Sr] per marriage the record.
EPHRAIM SR, s/o James was alive for the 1820 & 1830 census of Frankfort, Waldo, ME.

Researched: 1790, 1800, 1810 Censuses of Frankfort, ME finds no Dockham family.
Stafford County [NH] Registry of Deeds, 1773-1817, pg Oct 7, 1815, grantee = Samuel Greaves, grantor = Ephraim D Dockham
Must have moved to Frankfort after birth of Osman T in NH in 1816.
1820 Census Frankfort South Division: finds only Dockum in town = Ephraim Dockum 26-45 , wife 26-45, 2 sons under 10, 1 daughter under 10, Total = 5
[neither Ephraim Jr , Daniel M nor John were born yet]
1830 census Frankfort = Ephraim Dockham age 40-50, wife 40-50, 2 sons under 5, 2 sons 5-10, 2 sons 10-15; 2 daughters 6-10, 1 daughter 10-15. Total = 11
1840 census Frankfort = Abigail Dockham age 50-60, 1 son age 6-10, 2 sons 15-20, 2 sons 20-30, 2 daughters 15-20. Total = 8.

1880 Census of US finds many Dockham families.
Found in Belfast, Waldo Co, ME an Ephraim Dockham, self (Head of Household) age 58 est b <1822> ME, stone cutter , parents born in NH, white male married to Mary E Dockham age 48 b <1832> ME, keeping house, wife white female, parents born ME. This is Ephraim [jr]
UNLIKEY THE FATHER OF MY ANCESTOR DANIEL DOCKHAM.

In 1880 census Daniel age 51, stonecutter b ME, says father b NH, mother b ME wife Hannah J (nee Dutch), Mary J age 21 School Teacher, Edmund age 18 stonecutter, Addie age 16, Arther E age 13, Henry age 10, Everret age 7, Edith age 7, George L age 1.

Spouse:       Dolly BROWN, born 12 Oct 1795, Tuftonboro, Carroll, NH Parents Moors BROWN & Mary DRAKE,

Estate of Homestead of 150 acres and house [valued] $461.
"After her second marriage to Joseph Sinott, they lived in Saco or Alfred, ME. the children were brought up by relatives or 'put out'.
As there are no birth records for for Ephraim's children it could very well be that Daniel M Dockham b in Dec 1828 is a son born after his death.

Marr:       Sandwich Twsp, Carroll, ME

Children:
Moors / Morse "Morris" Brown, (ca 1811-1898)
Josiah Boston (1819-)
