The Rutland "Adjutants" might not be Adjutants. In any case, I have not seen any evidence linking them to the Adjutants of New Hampshire and Maine. The Dore/Door/Dorr Genealogy Forum lists Samuel Adjutant born before 1780 in Exeter, NH. His son, Samuel D. Adjutant was born in 1806. I would appreciate any information concerning the parents of Frank L. Adjutant, born April 30, 1961 or Everlyne E (Wentworth) Adjutant, born February 23, 1858. They are buried in Pinehill Cemetery near Wolfeboro.
