Hi Chester, I just happened to notice your post to Carole, and hope you don't mind me butting in. My GGgrandmother was Eliza R. Garland who was married to John Quincy Adams Cook. They were married 1843/1844 and had four children. They lived on Red Hill in Moultonborough,NH. Most of my Garlands seem to have lived in the Sandwich-Moultonborough, and surrounding areas. If you can get to RootsWeb WorldConnect Project, there is a website with many Garlands listed going from when they apparently landed in Hampton all the way back to England in the 1600s. There is supposedly Indian blood in my line, but no one knew how and when it came in. If you would like I could try to e-mail you the website.
