According to our records, Edwin L. Huckins, born and resided in Freedon, son of Simon Huckins of Freedom, married 1 Mar 1891 in Freedom, Mamie E. Harmon, born in Freedom resided in Eaton, daughter of Ransom and Elizabeth Harmon.
Simon O. Huckins 1855-1933 was married to Nellie J (Harmon) 1861-1899 and Cordelia D. (Noble) of Norway, Maine.
Edwin had brothers or half brothers, Ernest L. 1883-1946 who married Nancy T. (Barker) in 1904 and Jane Topliff (Merrow) 1882-1956; and Gilbert, who married Sarah Addie (Blaisdell) of Madison, daughter of Mark Blaisdell and Dorcas (Harmon).
Gilbert (Bert?) was the son of Cordelia (Noble). Ernest was the son of Nettie (Harmon).
Ernest Huckin's obituary lists two daughters, Beatrice (Huckins) Kimball and Marguerite (Huckins) Leavitt; two grandchildren; a brother; and two nieces, Mrs. Ralph (Lois) Baxter of Miami and Mrs. Henry (Evelyn) Mears of Chicago.
Mrs. Ralph (Lois) Baxter was the daughter of Albert (Bert)Huckins. Dr. and Mrs. Baxter lost a child to drowning. Albert was a well known timber dealer and with his brother, Ernest, carried on the activities of their father, S. O. Huckins which included a hardware store.
As near as I can determine, Bert and Ernest were half brothers to Edwin.
