Thank you David for the information on Wm. Wallace Colby b.1818 Eaton, Carroll Co,NH. I have a small conflict with the mother of W.W. According to my father's story of a grandmother named "Mary Wallace",my father being a grandson of William Wallace Colby, named Warren Wallace Colby, son of Guy I. Colby b. Lawrence MA. I am wondering if Ebenezer's 2nd wife "Mary_____" was a Wallace & the mother of William Wallace. This would agree with the Wallace appearing as a middle name and being carried on to a grandson with the legend that we were part Scots & descended from the well-known William W. who of course had no direct descendants(but same family!). Thankyou again for the information--I am wheelchair bound and doing my searching by mail & internet. If you learn anything further re this I would appreciate hearing.E-mail--dellsouther@webtv.net
