While doingsome genealogy work for the Ossipee Historical Society, i ran across a FGS for Simon Osgood Huckins, he was born 16Nov.1855 and died 12 Dec. 1933. He married Nellie T. Harmon in 1881. The FSG did not list any children.(the society is trying to research Ossipee families) On the back of the FGS there were names of sibs. If you E-mail me direct i will forward your e-mail to the OHS genealogy research person and they may be able to help you with that part of your question. There was a note written on the back of the fgs; In 1905 he bought(Simon) Jabez Moultons place. Some years later he bought a timber lot from Squire Weeks. He later gave land to the YMCA for a camp on Ossipee Lake. He also gave about 100 acres to the state to be used as a forestry experimental tract. This section of Freedom is located in the southern section of town and is known as "Huckins Tract"
I hope this helps a little. You can check in the Ossipee Historical Society web page, genealogy you may find some info there. The site is in MSN communities.
