I am searching for proof of the marriage of Betty Philbrick d/o Joseph Philbreick and Catherine Dennet to Zebulon Gilman, Jr. s/o Zebulon Gilman, Sr. and Elizabeth Colcord.
They married 15 Sep. 1785 in Gilmanton, Belknap County, NH.
Their children were:
1. Joseph P. (Philbrick) Gilman b: 1785 d: 1876 Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa.
2. Thomas
3. Betsy (married Mr. Osgood)
4. Sally (married William Clough)
My notes aren't conclusive on this family. I have the Gilman Book, and it doesn't come far enough ahead to enclude them in the line. Maybe they left New Hampshire after they married, I don't know when they moved to Iowa. Mayber the rest of the children were born there, or maybe Joseph P. Gilman followed his son William C. Gilman and his wive to Iowa. I just can't seem to make a connection.
Please, if any of these names ring any bell, I need help.
