Hi. Thank you so very much for your response.
I did come across Mr. Nesbitt's name and address at the LDS site when I first began searching for family. I wrote to him and he gave me some more information, but unfortunately died before I received any information about the other children.
The information on the Rootsweb tree was furnished by me to another researcher. So yes, those are my birth parents.
I did not have Daniel's military reg. card, so I do thank you so much for that. I did not know that Alice had married again, so that is a really good hint in my looking for further family. And thank you also for the name for the 1930 census. By the birth date, the Daniel Lester listed on the California Death Index may have been another son.
I appreciate your information very much as I live in New Mexico. I wrote my aunt and sent her our information and some pictures at Christmastime, but have not heard from her yet. I did manage to receive two diaries by Frank W Steele through Ebay. They were quite interesting and were about him when he was a young man and had not yet married.
I have also found quite a bit of information on Mabel and Daniel's ancestors, but not on their children.
Thank you again. Sue
