Hi Ali,
My name is Austin Neylan from Ireland. Just a little help in that you may be able to trace the name further back through a web page titled "The O'Neils of Thomond" which lists earliest mentions of Neylan in the areas in Ireland where they were prevelant such as Armagh and Clare.
