Samuel McMillan, Inverness Scotland, Victoria Australia, Dunedin New Zealand
I would be grateful if anyone has information on Samuel McMillan and family. Samuel snr was born in Inverness Scotland about 1822. He immigrated to Victoria Australia possibly about 1848. His occupation was grazier/shepherd. He married Tomina (Mary) Gunn in Geelong, Victoria about 1856. They had several children born at Glenorchy Victoria before immigrating to Dunedin about 1860-1871. The children born in Australia were Mary Jane, Catherine, Samuel. They were more children born in Dunedin. Samuel jnr became a Baker/Miller and married Bessie White about 1885 in Dunedin. They shifted from Dunedin to Blenheim, possibly worked at Moleworth Station as Baker, then on to Wellington early 1900. He owned several dairy/bakeries around Wellington. Had 3 children, Christina Mabel, John or Jim? and Catherine Marie Leith.
Any information on the McMillans in Duedin and Blenhein would be much appreciated. Thanks
