I'm trying to find the parents of Minnie Newton who was born August 1885 in TN. This information comes from the 1900 Census where I find her newly married to Willis Rushing in Coalgate, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (Oklahoma)
Willis L. Rushing, Feb 1879, 21, born Indian Territory, parents in Indian Territory, day laborer, owns home
Minnie, wife, Aug 1885, born TN, parents in TN
Willis and Minnie were married March 24 1900 in Coalgate, OK. They had 3 children: Wirt Newton Rushing born Dec. 20, 1901 in Coal Co., OK, they had Virgie Ann born Sept. 29, 1905 and then had Vernie or Verbia born about 1908. Minnie died on April 10, 1910 in Tupelo, OK and Willis and the children appear in the 1910 Census living with his parents. Any information as to who her parents are and where she might be buried would be much appreciated.
