Joanna NEWMARCH m Wm. BEAN VA
I'm seeking any information re Joanna [_?_] NEWMARCH, b ca 1750/55, who according to old family records, was a young widow of _?_ NEWMARCH, by whom she had dau. Mary Mollie/Molly NEWMARCH, prob in VA abt 1779/80.Joanna, m 2nd to William BEAN, whose father, William, sent his son to Joanna with a note of proposal for him. However, she fancied the 19 yr old son, instead. [I wonder if his father wrote him out of his will for doing that?] They were supposedly married in VA, but so far I haven't found a record of it.They were in Mason Co. KY. by 1796, owning land near Orangeburg.
Joanna and William BEAN, were grandparents of Phantly Roy BEAN Jr., later known as the famous "Judge Roy BEAN", the law west of the Pecos.
Mary Mollie/Molly NEWMARCH, married Nicholas CONNETT, in VA or KY.The date of their marriage is unknown but they were known to be husband and wife in 1796, in Mason Co. KY., the year of Nicholas's bro. William's death [3 months after his marriage to Sarah [Sally] CARRELL].I descend from Nicholas and Mollie from their son, Abraham, [formerly Absalom], b 1813, and his wife, Nancy REES. who lived in OH, IN, and Jasper Co. IA., near Vandalia, where they owned land, and are buried.
I have many descendants of Joanna and William BEAN, and from her dau Mary Mollie and Nicholas CONNETT.I'll be glad to share what I have with anyone who may be related.
Hopefully,
