I am seeking information on the Newman Family who lived in Clarkstown, Rockland County, NY in the late 1700's to the mid 1800's.
My great great great grandfather was Abraham Newman. He was born abt 1813 in New York and lived in Clarkstown, then Orangetown, then Nyack NY. He was married to a Mary A C. His children were Stephen R. b 1837, Mary E b. 1839, Abraham D b 1842, William H b 1845, Ellenor Emily b 1847, Benjamin Harrison b 1849,James Edward b 1853 d 1855.and Joshua b 1856.
I am descended through Benjamin Harrison.
I am looking for any connecting family information - I do not know who Abraham's parents were but I do know a Newman family lived in the town of Clarkstown during the above time period. Any info is appreciated.
