Martha Hawkins is a name found in several areas of research of Newman families. No proof of marriages of Martha are readily available on the Net, except the marriage of the widow Martha Hawkins to Robert Harvey.
Martha was a daughter of Benjamin Borden Jr. whose father had the Bordon Grant in Virginia. Barbara Borden married Benjamin Hawkins. After his death, she sold some land in Botetourt County, VA. Jonathan Newman bought 200 acres of land from Martha Hawlins, a widow. Martha must have married Robert Harvey after this land transaction.
