I am looking for any information on William R. Newlon who was born about 1895 in Louisiana. All the definite information I have on him is from the 1930 census where he is living with his wife Katherine (Pohlker) Newlon and their daughter in Flint, Michigan where he was employed as a plumber at an auto factory. They married abt 1927. William Newlon's father was born in Montana and his mother in Louisiana. Also William Newlon is listed as a veteran.
William eventually left his wife and three children (I believe around the time of the Second World War) supposedly because he got another woman pregnant and is believed to have married her and had more children.
I am not sure on the date that William Newlon died. In Social Security records I did find a William Newlon born at about the right time who died in 1971 near Flint, so possibly this is him, but I had heard that he had possibly moved to Illinois at some point, so I am hesitant to say for certain.
I apologize for the uncertainty of all of my information. I cannot get much to work with because the members of his first family who are living are still very sensitive about what happened and have been unwilling to talk about it. I do know that one of William's grandsons once got a telephone message from a genealogy researcher who might have been from the "other" family, so maybe that person is out there and will read this message.
