Are you sure about the birth date of your father, being around 1900? If you mother were born in 1932 that would make him 30 years or so older than she, which is a huge gap. I checked on the Social Security Death index, and you might want to do the same...your father should have had a SS #, and this might give you more info, but you need to be sure about the range of birth dates for him.....I'd have questions about a generation's difference in ages. http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ The only John Newlin I found born in 1874 (on the SSI death index)was b. on Oct 8, 1874, and d. March 1963...His last residence was Aurora.Kane, Ill. I looked through the online pages for Newlins, in MOntrose,Colorado and found the following...why not call them? The surname, NEWLIN, is an unusual one, and if you believe yourself related to Newlins in that area, why not start with them? Newlin, Bernard F 10 Brown Rd Montrose, CO 81401-4806 (970) 249-3748 Newlin, Larry & Suzy 608 Heather Ln Montrose, CO 81401-7491 (970) 249-8312 Newlin, Richard E 2101 Winston Way Montrose, CO 81401-5558 (970) 249-3196 Notify Administrator about this message?
