Noah Ermel Newlin
Oct. 31, 1917 - Feb. 25, 2008


PAOLI - Noah Ermel Newlin, 90, passed away on Monday, in Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Ind.

He was born in Galveston, to Franklin Thomas Newlin and Kitty Emily "Padgett" Newlin. He married Ruby E. Crowe and she preceded him in death in 2001.

He was a retired Inspector from Fishers Division of General Motors, Marion. He was a former member of the Ames Chapel, Paoli. He was a 1935 Paoli High School Graduate, and a WWII Army Veteran.

Survivors include son, Dr. Gordon Ermel Newlin, Floyd Knobbs; grandchildren, Michael Newlin, Redlands, Calif., Christopher Newlin, Hamilton, Ohio; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruby; sister, Hazel Kimble; two step-sisters; one step-brother.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Ames Chapel, Paoli, Ind. with James F. Walters officiating. Burial to follow in Stampers Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 in Kemple Funeral Home, Paoli, Ind. and 10 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.
