I am aware that you are an genealogy expert but I found some info that you might find interesting.

In the 4th draft registration for World War 2, 25 to 27 of April 1942.
For all men who turned 45 on or before 16 Feb 1942 and not older than 65 on or before 27
April 1942.

That takes in men who were born around 1877 on upward. For researches this could be a gold mine. My Dad served in the Army in the 1920's, he would have been required to sign up in the 4th draft of WW11.
