Re: Robert Newlands who was the Parochial teacher in Tongue, Sutherlandshire, I have recently found out that he was the son of another Robert Newlands and his wife Marrion (double 'r') Carruthers. If anyone is researching either this Newlands of Dumfriesshire or Carruthers in Dumfriesshire, I would love to hear from them.
