I just bought a copy of the Family Tree magazine and noticed that your letter was published. Upon reading your letter, I noticed that your Cramer family was from the Kingston, Ontario area. I believe that I have a relative that may be related to your Cramer line. Let me give you some background on what I have to date:

James Lewis (b. abt. 1800) m. Eleanor Collard (b. abt. 1810?)
Married in 1818,
Children: (8)
(1) Mary Lewis
(2) George Lewis
(3) James Lewis
(4) Absalom Lewis
(5) Emily Lewis
(6) Albert Lewis
(7) Rachel Lewis
(8) Samantha Lewis

Eleanor Collard (Lewis) was supposedly from Gananoque, Ontario, just outside Kingston. It is said that her mother's father is Peter Cramer from Kingston, and was also a Loyalist. I have some documentation that suggests that some Cramer/Collard family members are buried in a cemetary in the Gananoque area.

I would be very interested if you could help me with a family connection. My research is at a standstill and I am having trouble pursuing my Lewis/Collard/Cramer line from here.

Thank you in advance for your help!
