I am interested in finding the parents of Robert Newlands who was born at Closeburn, Dumfriesshire on 12 March, 1808 and who died at Tongue, Sutherlandshire, 17th December 1855. He was my Gt. Grandfather. Robert taught at the Parochial school in Tongue. Is there anyone researching this family. He married Grace Forbes from Tain, Ross and Cromarty.
