Thanks for your message. I can trace my family back to Dublin around 1782, but no further. Peter Newlands was born then and his death certificate states his father was Horsdealer Newlands? Peter married Alice Roney in Kilmarnock and although he was not a horsedealer, his son and several generations were. Apparently the family still traded with family members in Ireland.
I'm very interested in your link with Ireland and would like to here more. However I have not come across any of the names you mentioned, in my family.

On a separate note I did come across a mention of George Newlands married to Suzanna Busby on 11.6.1687 (Ireland I think). They had a list of children, one being Isaac born 21.4.1692. Is this your family?
