Was your Cora born about 1878 in KS? Probably Coffey Co.?

If so, is she the one listed in the 1880 Coffey Co. census as Clarice, a boy, age 2, son of Evan W. Newlan and Mary C. Clark?

Evan W. Newlan was a son of Joseph Newlan and Sarah Ann Jones, a dau. of Evan W. Jones and his 2nd wife, Lydia Rollins. Sarah Ann Jones was b. Sept. 29, 1822, Miami Co., OH.

I descend from Evan and his first wife. I've never known what Evan W. Jones' middle name was. Do you know what Evan W. Newlan's middle name was? He appears to have been named after his grandfather.

Many more details are in my WILKINSON / RUTHERFORD Family File accessed from my website, Coming Together in America, http://hometown.aol.com/wilenesmth/index.html

Would like to correspond if we're on the same track.
