I have this family with a variety of spellings back to abt 1710 and it goes something like this: Daniel Newland b. abt 1710, d. abt 1788, Shenandoa County m. Jane Unknown and had 3 known children one of which was Daniel N. Newland b. abt 1730 d.1802 m. Margery Unknown and had 9 children(this is where my line starts with William Newlun b. 1756) one of which was Joseph Newland Sr. b. abt 1770 m. 2/4/1802, Sophia Brown and had 7 children(three known to use Newlan surname) one of which was Joseph Newland Jr. b. abt. 1812 m. Sarah Unknown and had three children, Evin 1842, Charlotte 1846 & Caroline 1848.

Please post reply and e-mail as I may not check this query site.

thanks

Neil
