I just want to clear up James C. Newkirk, born 9 Jan. 1867 in Warren County, IL, son of America Ann Marr and William Hamilton Newkirk. (William Hamilton is son fo Cornelius S. Newkirk and Mary E. Lackey, both buried in Warren Co., IL) James C. and family moved to Iowa and then to North Dakota. Had wife, Alice Strong and (so far as I have found) two daughters, Myra born about 1900 in Iowa and Myrtle born and died 1907 in Hettinger Co., ND. James and Alice w/daughter Myra are listed in 1920 census for Hettinger Co., ND. Next listing is James C. a lodger in Idaho where he died in 1938. I am trying to locate what happened to Alice and Myra but so far nothing after 1920. Anyone who finds anything on her is asked to share information with me. John
