I too am descended from the Newhooks. I just found and checked out this site today. I am descended from the Norman's Cove, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland Newhooks to be exact through
Charles Newhook b. 1891
.William Newhook b. 1864
..Charles Newhook b. cir 1820
...James Newhook b. cir 1788
I have extensive information on the Newhooks including the copies of the ship registry certificates built or repaired by Newhooks in the early to mid 1800s, parish records showing baptisms, marriages and burials for most of the generations back to George Newhook b.1670 in Tollard Royal, Wiltshire.
Furthermore, I have also researched the Whites of Wiltshire (Martha White married George Newhook 1702) and a will of John Whight dated 1615 (an ancestor of Martha).
I would love to also hear from Newhooks. I would love to hear from Newhook relatives too as I am attempting to expand into the descendents of siblings of ancestors).
