I am searching for the burial place of Civil War veteran Dr. William Henry Newell.
He was born in NY about 1830 and was from Maryland just before medical school.
During the Civil War he was an Assistant Surgeon and Surgeon of the 1st VA Artillery, CSA.
After the war he practiced medicine in Jersey City, NJ in the 1870's - 1890's. He died June 5, 1913 in San Francisco, CA.
I am not related to him, just doing some Civil War research.
