Karen -- no connection to the best of my knowledge. I do have a small file on James George Newell (Mar 3, 1827 TN) and Casandra Elizabeth Wood (April 1830 NC). The family was in Meigs Co., TN in 1880. I would like to clarify his ancestry. I had a note that he was s/o Joseph Newell born c1754. Don't know where I got that but if you have better info I would like to update my files. You may email me at ("jjnewell "at" nehp "dot" net). I will exchange what little I have and we can compare notes. Thanks.
