I am trying to find information on the Newcomb/Newcum family in the Sweetwater area in Monroe County, Tennessee. My grandfather, Robert N or M Newcomb, born abt 1 Nov 1874,left TN area around 1900 and moved to Kern county California. In the Bakersfield, CA area he married twice producing two families. My father, Tomas William Newcomb was Robert N? Newcomb son by Rosa "May" Adelina Crawford. I have found a Moses Newcom (possible father to Robert) and a Levi Newcome (father to Moses) in the Monroe County, TN. Does anyone know about this lineage?
