Hello, researchers,
I'm trying to help a friend begin a family tree with very modest available information. Here is what I know:
Kenneth Paul Newcomb.
Father: Delmar Clarence Newcomb, born Oct 7, 1912, died Feb 8, 1918, married Helen Claire Malia / O'Malia on Feb 8, 1918 at Lackawana, Erie Cnty, New York.
Helen was born Jan 16, 1918 in Scranton, PA. Family emigrated from County Cork, Ireland and dropped the "O" part of last name.
Helen's mother was Katherine Toomey, married Charles Malia. Charles died approx 1927; Helen remarried to a ? Lavelle.
Children of Katherine and Charles include:
Helen,
Janet, married Harvey Gastle
Muriel, married Joseph Allen
Lucile, married Cecil (last name unknown - could be Harvey)
Ed, married Maria
Delmar's mother was Susie Murdock (do not have a father's name). Delmar's brother, Clyde married and lived in Virginia Beach and had five children. Clyde and Delmar played ballroom music in a "big band" in the 30s and 40s.
If anyone has any information on any of these names I would appreciate hearing from you
