Nancy:

Your ancestrial line is as follows:
James Arthur, Andrew Jesse, George, Samuel F., Jesse, Francis, Francis, Gabriel, William, Ralph and William Newby.
These Newby's were Quakers and the first one to America was William the father of Gabriel. They settled in Va. for a time then to Perquimans County, NC. before moving to Ga., Ala., and then with Samuel F. going to Texas. Your George was in Erath co., Texas and Samuel F. ended up in Parker and Wise Co., Texas.where I live. I have published The Newby Book, but do not have any for sale. You can find one in the Springtown, Dallas, and Decatur libraires here in Texas. For more information please cantact me.
Thanks,
Margaret Newby Swanzy.
