Both Asa and Abel Newby were on the census for 1820 Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

I find no Blaylocks or Newbys in Bledsoe County. However, in 1830 Roane County, Tenn (from which Bledsoe was formed in 1807), I find the following :

Squire Blaylock - 1200001 - 0110001

Squire was born in the 1780s, his wife in the 1790s. All five children were born after 1815. These would fit your Te,perance.

This is the only reference I can find for Squire in Tenn.
