Searching for information on the parents of COMFORT NEWBURY, born ca 1773 in Connecticut. He was living in Mansfield, Conn. by 1798-married Nancy Collins, 1798-99. Comfort died Sept. 22, 1852 age 79 years, 4 months. Wife Nancy died June 19, 1864 age 86. On the 1850 census for Mansfield, CT, Comfort told the census taker he was born in Connecticut-however, I cannot connect him with any of the Newbury/Newberry families living in Conn. On the 1850 census, a Harriett Newbury about the same age as Comfort, was living with him. A younger Harriett Newbury was also living with the family. She was age 17. All born in Conn.
