I have been given this information by several people but no one appears to have any proof. Was told that Williams was a Prim. Baptist preacher in either Duplin or Sampson Co and then moved to the western part of the state. Called the Elder of that church a couple of weeks ago to see if there was anything in their records that gave Mary's maiden name. He was going to check but said he doubted it. The names down the lines certainly indicate this is correct. Do you have any proof? The Parrott connection is also a little hazy. Certainly there were intermarriges between the Mewborns and the Bertie Co Parrotts starting with George and Mary Parrott Mewborn and continued in every generation.
