Hi Elly. I'm adding to this thread, if you don't mind, a request for information and links on the Neugeboren family members who came from Husiatyn (or Gusiatyn) at the turn of the last century. We presume the Husiatyn and Ryminov Neugeborens--some of whom changed their names to Newborn--are related, as many were members of the single Neugeboren family circle in NYC in the late 1940's, early 1950's; many were also in the "butter and eggs" business. Husiatyn was in Galicia, on the Zbruk River, which formed the old border of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Russia. Any information would be welcome--including how the two branches of the family are linked.
