Hi Lorene! Just a quick note to inform that Ms. Clark is working on an update to her 1995 volume "Six American Colonists". She probably had lots of folks like myself send her additions and corrections [and questions] over the years on NEWBOLD and the other 5 principal surnames she explored in her book, so felt it worthwhile to take the trouble to publish an update. She does not know exactly when this will occur --- but it is in progress. If and when I hear that the new volume is available, I'll be sure to post a note in this Forum. Lorene -- I've continued to work [slowly and aperiodically] on unraveling all of the connections concerning the NEWBOLDs in North Carolilna from the late 18th Century up through the mid -19th. Your line traces back through those NEWBOLDs who settled in and around Perquimans and Pasquotank County. There was another bunch of Thomas' descendants who went to the Onslow County area farther south at about the same time [late 1760s]. Still premature to report anything yet, but when I get there, I'll pass you what I think I've figured out about them. Cheers, Cree Newbold newbold@home.com
