Sue, I just posted your information to my "Family Tree" and will assume that Abraham P Newbill is Abraham Poindexter Newbill in my "Family Tree" b 10/31/1846 in Halifax County VA and d 3/11/1924 in Carroll County TN.

If so, Abraham's parents were: James H Newbill b act 1797 in Halifax County and d 1877 in Halifax County, married Sarah Francis Richardson. They had many children.

James H Newbill's parents were: George Newbill b abt 1740 Essex County VA (and the 1 who gavw 14 1/2 gallons of brandy to the Revolutionary War) d aft 1806 in Halifax County married Elizabeth (Betsy) Moore Essex b 1764 on 11/4/1791. They had 7 children.

George Newbill's parents were: George Newbill b bef 1699 d abt 9/1744 and Sarah. They had 4 children.

George's parents were: James Newbill (one of the sons "transported" with Francis from England in 1651) b bef 1651 d abt 6/1699 (was a tailor by trade) and Mary.

James Newbill father was Francis Newbill b bef 1651
