Newbigging Family Tree - Lanarkshire Scotland

I'm also trying to trace the ancestry of the Newbigging family - but in Scotland and wonder if any of the names you have found tie in with any of the following:

My great grandfather was one Williamm Newbigging (D.O.B is unsure) he married a Francis Minto Smith at Symington Lanarkshire on 10/7/1873.

I believe they had 4 sons - John, William, James and Thomas. John Watson Smith Newbigging was my grandfather and was born in Carstairs on 28/8/1887. The B.O.B. of the others is unsure. They aslo had 1 or 2 daughters - Francis and ? Margaret?

John Watson Smith Newbigging then married Margret Kennedy (D.O.B. 16/5/1892) on 14/11/1913 and had 3 sons - John, William and Thomas and 1 daugher - Francis.

As it seems that all this part of the Newbigging family seem to have originated in Lanarkshire, info you may have would be welcomed.
