I am looking for a Newberry female, born in Georgia, died before 1840, probably in Jefferson County, Alabama or Lawrence County, Alabama. She was married 3 times. From one marriage, to a McKinney, she had one daughter, born 1819, in Alabama, married in 1837, in Jefferson County, Alabama; from the last marriage, she had four children: Delilah Sharp, born about 1829, born in Jefferson County, Alabama Mary Sharp, born 1828, Alabama, Hiram A. Sharp, born 1835, Alabama and Henry Sharp, born 1838, in Alabama.
Of these children, only Delilah has a death certificate with any information on it. No first name, just the maiden name Newberry and that she was born in Georgia.
The daughter, Charlotte McKinney, married George Pierce 4 Aug 1836, in Jefferson County, Alabama. One of her sons was killed in the Civil War and in her file for the application of a pension from his death, she stated that George Sharp was her mother's third husband, never names her mother, that he took care of her. This application was made in Union County, Tennessee.
Also in that file she states that her son, Robert, was born June 19, 1838, in Marshall County, Alabama and that her mother also had a child the day before, on June 18, 1838, near Guntersville, Marshall County, Alabama.( This would be Henry Sharp, born June 18, 1838, who disappears after the 1850 census)
We don't know which order these marriages are in, just that George Sharp was her last husband and she probably died with the birth of the last child, in 1838, in Marshall County, Alabama.
