Internet families list both Johann Peter New (Neu) b. Germany and Frances New b. Va (English Descent) as father of Jacob New, b. 1761, Va.
NEW DNA project shows that descendants of John Newton New (1837, Ga), Jacob New (Dekalb Co, Ga) and Jesse W. New (1829, Paulding Co, Ga) have exact match. The families are only 1 number in 1 marker off from the other English New families).

"WILLIAM NEW and ELIJAH NEW were appointed Adminisrators of JACOB NEW'S Estate on Dec. 2, 1835, after furnishing a Bond in the amount of $4000. On Jan. 16, 1836, the Estate Inventory was made and on Feb. 18, 1836, the Estate Sale was held. Buyers with the same surname were HENRY NEW, JOEL NEW, SAMUEL NEW, JESSE NEW, JACOB NEW JR., WILLIAM NEW and ELIJAH NEW. There is a doctor's bill in the file from DR. GEORGE K. HAMILTON showing the last day he visited JACOB NEW was Nov. 16, 1835. Also there is a receipt from the Sheriff of Carroll County for selling Land Lot 7, 9th District, Carrroll County. (18 documents)"

The Atlanta Constitution, 01 Jan 1918, Mrs. Lucinda Jane New, 81 years old, died Monday morning at the residence of her son, R.A. New, 228 Crew Street. She is survived by three sons, W.D., J.W. and R.A. New. The body was removed to the chapel of A.O. & Roy Donehoo.
