Garrit Nafee, son of Johannes Nefie
Garrit Nafee of Hoboken NJ, descendant of Joannes Nevius of Holland, babtised at Six Mile Run (six miles due west of New Brunswick) 4/20/1755 died about 1823 was a Patriot who served in the American Revolution almost from the start and until the very end. He served in many major battles and was at Yorktown with Washington when Cornwalis surrended. He is said to have been buried at Pequannock, NJ but I have been unable to locate his grave. I have found his wife's gravestone at the Hoboken Cemetery in Bergen.
I would like to give him the honor he deserves. If anyone has any information that might help pinpoint where he is buried, it would be greatly appreciated.
