wife of the Treasuer of the Paine Lumber Company ExpiresAfter Ill for aNumber of Mouth—Heart Disease. with Other Ailments Fatal—The Funeral Will Be Held Thursday.
Mrs. Charles Nevitt passed away tbis afternoon at 10:15 o'clock, at her home, 70 Park street.
Notwithstanding that Mrs. Nevitt's health had been failing for several month's, the end came as a sudden blow, for this morning before Mr. Nevitt and his son left the house, Mrs. Nevitt assured them that she was feeling especially well.
According to Dr. Washhurn. a Milwaukee physician who is a specialist in treatment of the heart, the demise was due to endocarditis. During the last year Mrs. Nevitt had been slowly losing strength, a heart trouble, combined with several other ailments, including asthma and bronchitis, manifesting themselves. It was the weakness of the heart this morning which brought the end.
Mrs. Nevitt was formerly Miss Georgiana Paine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Paine. She was born in Oshkosh, August 22, 1865, and after securing the education offered by Oshkosh
schools, she attended Downier college at Milwaukee, and later Smith college, one of the leading institutions of learning for women, at North Hampton, Mass.
On the first of August, 1880. Mr. and Mrs. Nevitt were married. There is one son. George Nevitt. who is seventeen years of age. Besides the husband and the son there aie two brothers, Nathan Paine and Edward W. Paine; two sistersMrs. E. W Vickwire of Chicago, and Mrs. F. L. Palmer of Faribaiilt.

Lumber company and is a member of the WestNevitt & Tuttle company, doing an insurance business, He is one of the best known business men of the The Fox river valley.
Although she was perhaps as well Although she was perhaps as well acquainted as any woman of this city, Mrs. Nevitt was not a member of any clubs. She belonged to the First Congregational church. Her friends had seen Mrs. Nevitt on the street until a,short time ago. and it was within the last few days that she was out of doors fit her home. During the last few davs she had expressed the belief
that her condition was improving, and she had stated that she rested more satisfnctorilv during Saturday night and last night than in a long time.

This morning she took more nourishment than had been her custom of Iate, calling the attention of one of the family to the fact. She was quite cheerfull and seemed to be stronger. When Mr Nevitt went to the office. Shortly after 10 o'clock, however, she signified that her heart troubled her, and becoming unconscious, soon passed away.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence on Park street, and will be in private, only relatives attending. It is requested of friends not to t>end flowers.
