Winifred V. (McQuillen) Davis

DAVIS, Winifred V. (McQuillen) Winifred V. (McQuillen) Davis, 94, of Tall Timbers Drive, Farmington, entered the gates of Heaven to rest beside her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her husband, Harold F. Davis on Monday, (February 28, 2005). Affectionately known as Gram, she touched the lives of everyone she met and will be forever loved and remembered for her cheerful disposition, fantastic mind, constant support, and genuine concern for the well-being of her family and friends. Always young at heart, Gram enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren, talking with them about their interests and activities. Born on August 21, 1910 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eugene and Winifred (Nevitt) McQuillen, she was the second daughter in a family of 14 children, now survived only by her eldest brother, Leo McQullen, of Syosset, NY. She was a faithful and active member of the Catholic Church and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Farmington. She was employed by Brooklyn Hospital as a medical records assistant and later worked for 25 years in insurance and real estate in Brooklyn. Following her retirement, she made her home in Farmington with her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jane Davis. She also leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Arlene Davis, of Columbus, NJ; five grandchildren, Stacey Muscarella and her husband, Scott, of Mullica Hills, NJ; Glenn Davis of Lawrenceville, NJ; Scott Davis and his wife, Tara, of Robbinsville, NJ; and Patrick Davis and Marisa Davis of Farmington; two great-grandchildrem, Kyle and Ashley Muscarella; a niece, Donna Kayser, and her husband Richie and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she leaves her dear friend, Margaret Hary; her devoted employer, Frank Shine; and his wife, Helen; the caring staff of Brightview of Avon: Janet, Robin, Avis, Mary, Darlene, Kathy, Lenny, Reggie, and Keith, and her resident friends, Clara and Sheila. The family is truly grateful for the love and devotion each has given to Gram during her lifetime. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Unionville, TODAY, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Friday at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick's, 110 Main St., Farmington, at 10 a.m. Burial will be Saturday, March 5, in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
