Angelina "Angie" Nicole Nevitt, age 17, of Fountain, Fla, passed away Wednesday morning, October 13, 2004.
Miss Nevitt moved here in April 1996 from Waynesville, NC. She was a senior at Altha High School and was Baptist by faith. Miss Nevitt was a state ranked weightlifter for Women's Weight Lifting and she finished 9th last year in the State of Florida in the Women's Weight Lifting Competition. She enjoyed basketball as well as doing volunteer work while helping others.
Miss Nevitt is survived by her mother and stepfather Karen and Vernon Fields of Fountain, Fla, her father, Norman Nevitt of Shephardsville, KY, she was engaged to be married to Kyle James of Fountain, Fla, her maternal grandparents, Jerome and Julia Rudd of Panama City, Fla and Paul and Doris Coyman of Palm Bay, Fla, paternal grandparents, Norman and Theresa Nevitt of Shephardsville, KY; maternal great-grandparents Ben and Dorothy Boone of Rome, GA,; paternal stepgrandparents, Vernon and Donna Fields of St. Petersburg, Fla; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many friends who loved the girls with all their heart.
Funeral Services for Miss Nevitt were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 16, at Gulf Beach Baptist Church with Rev. Rudie Guta officiating. Interment followed at Parker Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be submitted and viewed at Southerland Family Funeral Home’s online obituaries.
