Martha Lee Nevitt Tucker, 83, of 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, formerly of Calhoun, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The McLean County native retired from McLean County Hospital after 27 years. She was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church and attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Philpot. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed quilting, bus trips with friends, and family. Her husband, Edgar Tucker, died Oct. 13, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie A. Tucker of Philpot and Freddie M. Tucker of Henderson; three daughters, Ann Caraway of Calhoun and Donna Bennett and Sue Nalley, both of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a half sister, Vonda Howard of Calhoun.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Calhoun Cemetery, Tornado Relief Fund, c/o Winfred Williams, P.O. Box 201, Calhoun, KY 42327.

She was retired after 27 years of service from the former McLean County General Hospital in Calhoun. She was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church and attended the Hopewell Baptist Church in Philpot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Tucker, who died Oct. 13, 1979.
