Mrs Elizabeth Nevitt died at home in the east
Mrs Elizabeth Nevitt, widow of Charles Nevitt, died Friday evening in Madison NJ, where she has been making her home.
The former Elizabeth Stevens was born in Milford Connecticut and was married to Charles Nevitt on June 27 1912 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he preceeded her in death in 1945.
A graduate of the state normal school at Potsdam, NY, she came to OshKosh as a supervising principal at the old normal school. Mrs Nevitt, before moving east to east Orange and then madison NJ, was an active member of the First Congregational Church, and for several years taught sunday school at the church. She was a member of the west end whist club, Leisure Hour Club, Twentieth Century Club and the Ladies Benevolent Society.
Surviving is a step son George P Nevitt, of Indian Point, one grand child, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Springfield NJ, followed by cremation and the ashes will be brought to Seefeld Funeral Home for Committal.
